A web based task manager that works through your browser. You can connect to it through your mobile phone and sync it with your iPhone. There a lot of features an it works well with other applications including Gmail, iGoogle, Jott, and Twitter. You can organzie your tasks and projects into separate groups like home or work and collaborate with others on them.

Ta-da List
Ta-da List is a very simple browser to-do list from 37 Signals. It’s free, easy to use, and you can create a bunch of lists with different tasks and once your finished, check them off.

Todoist
Another web-based to-do list with a simple interface. It contains a calendar to set due dates and reminders for upcoming events or tasks and a hierarchy system for tasks within tasks. It also integrates easily with many other things including Gmail and Firefox.

reQall
A memory tool which you can access on the web, iPhone, or Blackberry. There are numerous features and they have created a serious about page. If you want to know about reQall, head there.

TaskFreak!
TaskFreak! is a web-based task manager that is simple but efficient. With the ability to set priorities, deadlines, and individual lists, TaskFreak! is a must for productivity.

HiTask
Web-based task manager for both individuals or businesses with many features. You can group and tag your tasks, sync it with your calendar, share tasks with your group, and even assign tasks to specific members. It’s also accessible from anywhere including your mobile phone.

Remember The Milk
Remember The Milk is probably one of the most popular task managers around. You can manage your tasks easily, receive reminders to just about any service, use a tag cloud for your tasks, locate your tasks on a map, add important dates with a simple email or the Quick Add feature, and even share your lists with others. You can sign up for free, upgrade to a pro version, or get the app for the iPhone.

NowDoThis
Web based to do list with no signing up. Simply edit the list and it will show up. Click done when you have completed that task and it will show the next one. When you have finished all your tasks, it will display a nice “all done!” message.

Evernote
“Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere.” That pretty much sums it up. You can download it for Windows or Mac, or just use it on the web.

WorkHack
Web based to-do list that mimics a white board where you simply type in the tasks and give them a specific importance. There are three different importance settings: high in red, medium in a yellowish-orangish striped color, and low importance in green. You can also set up visualization by size.

Toodledo
Another free web-based to-do list that apparently only takes 31 seconds to register for. You can organize your tasks in a myriad of different ways like folders, tags, and goals. With Toodledo’s special tool (I know it sounds dirty, but it’s not, I promise), you can actually improve your productivity as it analyzes different data and creates a tailor-made schedule.

You got stuff you need to do every day right? Well, sign up for Daily To Do and it will remind you every day to do it. Simple.

Cool Moon To Do
Downloadable to-do list with some cool features like a heirarchy system, automatic archiving, lights to show importance or how urgent something is, and the ability to print.

Wipee List
Simple web-based to-do list with a very uncomplicated interface. Easily add new tasks, cross them out when done, and setup reminders. “Wipee List may be free, but that doesn’t mean it sucks.” Exactly,

Swift To-Do List
Free web based version of swift software’s to-do list. Hierarchal tree structure makes organizing lists easy, built in reminders makes forgetting tasks difficult, and allowing other users access so that you can collectively get things done is beneficial.

TaskBin
Free web-based group task management system with a ton of features. Think of it as a social network of people who like to get things done.

TASCK
Innovative, free web-based to-do list with a no nonsense design. Very easy to use and it keeps track of your completed tasks.

voo2do
Simple, free web based to-do list and task manager. Add notes to your tasks, organize tasks into groups or projects, review deadlines and past tasks, and collaborate.

SimpleGTD
Another web-based to-do list that touts itself as “uber simple.” After testing the demo account, it’s a simple but effective design. Create categories, drag and drop tasks from one group to another, check off and delete tasks and they disappear, and check your history of finished tasks.

WebToDo
Very simple free web-based to-do list. It’s a no frills design but gets the job done.

Simple, free web based application that lets you search through Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, and others through one search box, take notes, and even set up and manage a to-do list.

ForceDo
Free web-based to-do list that allows you to set deadlines and start a countdown which helps keep you accountable. You can also break up bigger tasks into smaller ones to make things easier.

JTodo
Simple, but ugly looking web-based or downloadable windows based to-do list. It’s still being developed so it may have some bugs.

Do you like making lists? Do you like sharing those lists? Than blist is for you! It’s a social network where you can create a list for anything and share it. It’s free but you can sign up for a premium account.

Free web-based to-do list that you can use on your desktop, in your browser, or on your iPhone. You can also share it, email it, or even send it as a text message.

Since it’s a completely online service, access is universal. Qlubb can be your goto site for managing a project where the members are all over the world.

Time Tracker
A free online to-do list with a clock. You can keep track of time you spend on each task on a single day.

Tasks Jr.
Tasks Jr. is a basic, free online to-do list. There are numerous features that come with this free version, but there are two upgrades which cost money. You can set priorities, get daily email reminders, and set percentages to each task just in case you only complete a portion of it.

Free to-do list online that is shareable, open source, and RSS compliant.

MiniTask
A downloadable, lightweight task manager based on Adobe AIR.

Staction
Free online task manager mainly concerned with group management, but can be used as to-do list manager as well. This service has a ton of features: everything is live on one main screen, easily swap tasks to different people, share files, receive reports on time spent on certain tasks, and even a personalized secure URL.

OneAlert
OneAlert is a simple to use, lightweight downloadable reminder service from My Life Organized. Using windows hot key’s you can instantly bring up OneAlert, add a reminder, and then get back to working in whatever application you were using. For such a lightweight program, it has quite a few settings you can play around with.

Task Coach
A downloadable to-do list and task manager with loads of features. These features include viewing your tasks in different views, sub tasks, add attachments to anything by dragging and dropping, ability to leave yourself very detailed tasks including due dates and descriptions, and search through your tasks by sorting or filtering the results by almost anything.

Task.fm
Task.fm claims to be “the worlds fastest productivity tool.” I’m not sure about that, but it’s features make it a very useful productivity tool. You can set up reminders which are sent free through email, or for a small fee you can send an SMS or even a phone call. Other features include Twitter integration, a built in to-do list, and repeat events.

springpad
What is a springpad? “Springpads are free online notebooks that help you manage your life.” Okay, what can I use it for? “Use your springpad to keep track of notes, photos, maps, to-do’s, contacts, appointments & more.” Basically there is a notebook or “springpad” for everything you can imagine. It looks simple to use and can be a lot more than just a task manager.

Tracks
A web-based or downloadable application built on the Ruby on Rails platform that is focused on helping you get things done, instead of being just a to-do list. Features include having multiple users with their own specific tasks, ability to measure your progress, easy organization, and different settings to add importance to certain tasks.

Superminder
Like OneAlert, this is a reminder service, but unlike OneAlert, it’s completely web-based. Signing up is easy and adding reminders is easy as well. You can send reminders as emails which are free or as SMS which you can purchase credits for on the site.

myTinyTodo
A simple downloadable to-do list that comes in 10 other languages besides English. Some of the features include tags, search function, priority settings, password protection, and due dates.

do it, do it, done!
Get things done in style with this completely web-based to-do list. Since there is no registration, there is no need to keep another username and password. Simply create a list with all your necessary tasks, pick a style, and then bookmark the URL. There is no login, so you just need to remember the unique URL. Once you finish a task, click it and a strike is put through the task. Click it again and the item disappears and you can add another.

Konolive 2Go
Web-based application that runs through Yahoo!. Konolive 2Go allows you to collaborate with an infinite amount of people and engage with them through the application, set priority and due dates on certain tasks, share messages on an activity board, and send and receive updates.

Hiveminder
Web-based application that allows you to create a to-do list easily and create groups including your work, your home, and others. You can add tags to each task, set priority, and you can share these tasks with anyone who has an email address.

Yokadi
A downloadable to-do list that claims to be “not your grandma TODO list.” It’s command line oriented so you need to know the prompts, but it’s small and simple.

TaskFive
An online business oriented to-do list which is only accessible by signing up. There is a screen shot but it says nothing about the features.
